Copycat Recipe

It's official, football season has kicked-off ...and one of my favorite football Sunday foods is homemade chili. Here's a great chili recipe that will make the fans rave!

Bud's Sunday Afternoon Football Chili

Yield: 10 Servings

1 lb beef (tip steak),Cubed
1 lb beef,Ground
2 med. onions, coarse chopped
2 sm. green peppers,chopped
1/2 c burgundy wine
6 T chili powder
4 T cumin
3 cl garlic (small)
1 t oregano
1 T cilantro leaves
2 T hot sauce
1 t sugar
2 ds salt
1 cn whole peeled tomatoes with juice (16 oz.)
1 cn stewed tomatoes (16 oz.)
1 cn tomato sauce (8 oz).
1 cn chili hot beans (15 1/2 oz.)
- note, beans optional!

Brown meat with 1 of the chopped onions. Drain grease. Place meat, onions, green peppers, and the rest of the ingredients into stockpot. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 1 or 2 hrs, covered.

Here's a spicy and delicious potato salad recipe that your family and friends will love. The recipe is easy to make and it is great for picnics, potlucks and barbecues, enjoy!

Louisiana Potato Salad Recipe


  • 2 lbs red potatoes, cubed and cooked

  • 1 cup zesty Italian dressing

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper

  • 8 slices of thick cut bacon, cut into 1 inch pieces

  • 3 green onions, chopped

  • 2 stalks celery, thinly sliced

  • 1 red pepper or yellow pepper, chopped

Potato Salad Preparation:

1. Mix potatoes, dressing and seasonings in a large bowl, set aside.

2. Cook bacon in skillet on medium heat to desired crispness.

3. Remove bacon from skillet; reserve 1 tablespoon drippings in

5. Add onions, pepper and celery to drippings in skillet; cook and stir
until crisp-tender.

6. Add to potato mixture with crumbled bacon; mix lightly.

Italian Dessert Recipe - Tiramisu

Tiramisu is a favorite Italian dessert in our household ...

Here's an easy Tiramisu recipe that is sure to please your taste buds.

Tiramisu Recipe

4 tablespoons espresso coffee
1 tablespoon Grappa
3 eggs, separated
1/2 cup sugar
8 ounces Marscapone cheese
24 Savoiardi biscuits
1 ounce sweet chocolate, grated
  • In a small bowl, combine the coffee and grappa; set aside.

  • In a medium bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff; set aside.

  • In a large bowl, beat the egg yolks together with the sugar until thick and lemon-colored.

  • Add the marscapone and blend. Gently fold the egg whites into the cheese mixture.

  • Place half of the biscuits in the bottom of a 10-inch square baking dish or larger serving plate.

  • Sprinkle with half of the coffee mixture.

  • Cover with half of the cheese mixture, and repeat process.

  • Refrigerate tiramisu for 4 hours before serving with grated chocolate.
